Maartenscollege.nl respects the privacy of all visitors to its website https://www.maartenscollege.nl. We therefore treat your personal data with care. This data will not be sold, traded or shared with parties unrelated to our services. And yes: we comply with the requirements of the data protection legislation in force in the Netherlands. This means, among other things, that we process personal data lawfully, secure it properly and share it with third parties only under conditions.
Use of personal data
Maartenscollege.nl processes your personal data because you use our services. In that case, you leave personal data with us. We save and use only the personal data directly provided by you in the context of the service requested by you or that we obtain through the analytical cookies we place (or have placed).
We use the following data for the purposes specified in this privacy statement:
- Your name;
- Your telephone number;
- Your e-mail address;
- Your IP address (anonymised);
- Data about your activities on our website;
- Internet browser and device type.
And what do we use this data for?
- To be able to contact you for the purpose of our services;
- To inform you about changes to our services and products;
- To deliver our services to you;
- To send you our newsletter.
If we are going to process the data for a similar purpose as described above, we are free to do so.
We advocate quick and easy contact. This is why we offer various online forms on our website. Of course, you can also e-mail us! If you fill in one of the online forms or e-mail us, the data entered will be kept as long as is necessary according to the content of the form/e-mail for it to be fully answered and processed.
We gladly inform interested parties about our services and general developments in our field. We do this through a newsletter. Every newsletter contains a link that allows you to unsubscribe. Too bad if you unsubscribe, but that is of course your choice. Perhaps good to know is that the newsletter subscriber file is not provided to third parties.
We use Mailchimp to send our newsletter. As soon as you subscribe to the newsletter, Mailchimp sends a confirmation email. In order to send this e-mail correctly, MailChimp places a cookie/pixel so that we know whether this e-mail has been read. You can read MailChimp’s privacy statement here.
Maartenscollege.nl does not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. What does that mean in concrete terms? The data you have given us so that we can contact you will be kept until the contact has taken place. Furthermore, data are kept for as long as you are a customer or relation of ours. After that, we keep data for a maximum of 3 years after the last delivery, with the exception of invoices. We keep these for 7 years in connection with our legal obligations.
Provision to third parties
Maartenscollege.nl only shares your personal data with third parties when this is necessary to provide our services or to comply with any legal obligation. We conclude a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf, which complies with the General Data Protection Regulation. This ensures the same level of security and confidentiality of your data.
Maartenscollege.nl ensures appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent the loss or unlawful processing of personal data. Some of these measures are:
- our website is secured with an SSL certificate. This ensures that confidential information, for example that is provided via a contact form, is sent encrypted;
- our software is updated and we use a firewall;
- access to electronic systems is password-protected, among other things;
- only authorised staff/third parties have access to your personal data; and,
- we mentioned it briefly: we enter into agreements with third parties who process your personal data on our behalf..
These measures aim for an appropriate level of security.
You have various rights regarding the personal data we process. You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing at any time or to object to the processing of your personal data by us. In some cases, you also have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we have on you in a computer file to you or a third party named by you.
You can send a request for inspection, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to firstname.lastname@example.org.
To make sure that such a request is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks. Should we not meet this deadline, we will let you know as soon as possible.
